Preparing for Drought in Colorado: Statewide Trends and Local Action / Cómo prepararnos para la sequía en Colorado: Tendencias estatales y acción local

What: As drought conditions continue to shape water management across Colorado, utilities and communities are navigating how to plan, communicate, and respond effectively in a rapidly changing climate. This webinar brings together statewide expertise and local perspectives to explore how drought is evolving across regions and how communities are adapting in real time. The session will begin with an overview from the Colorado Climate Center on current drought conditions, long-term trends, and what the latest science and modeling suggest for the future. Representatives from utilities across the Front Range, Western Slope, and High Country will then share how their communities are planning for drought, including operational strategies and messaging approaches. The webinar will also highlight practical tools and resources available through Colorado WaterWise to support drought planning and communication.
