Bouteloua Native Plant Nursery is a Boulder-area wholesale native plant nursery dedicated to growing resilient, regionally appropriate plants that support biodiversity, conserve water, and strengthen climate resilience across Colorado landscapes. Founded by experienced horticulturists and Colorado native plant advocates Kristine Johnson and Eric Johnson, Bouteloua focuses on increasing the availability of Colorado and regional native plants for municipalities, nonprofits, landscape professionals, and restoration projects.

The nursery grows native plants without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and emphasizes sustainable production practices, soil health, pollinator protection, and resource conservation. By supplying plants that are adapted to Colorado's challenging climate, Bouteloua helps create landscapes that require less water, provide critical habitat for wildlife and pollinators, and remain healthy and resilient in the face of drought and climate change.

Through wholesale production, contract growing, and community partnerships, Bouteloua is working to address Colorado's native plant supply shortage while supporting healthier, more beautiful, and more ecologically functional landscapes throughout the Front Range.
