What: JJoin Your Neighborhood Christmas Tree Farm for their 20th annual tree giveaway! They will have 589 small seedling trees to give away. The give-away will run until all the trees are gone. This is the 20th year we have given away trees and our 10,970th tree was given away last year. Please do not call or email, just show up on the 30th and get your tree(s)!
Trees are 1-3-feet-tall, with the following species available: American plum (122), Linden (11), Russian hawthorn (37), Ohio buckeye (55), horse chestnut (36), honey locust (40), chokecherry (30), Colorado blue spruce (58), Doug fir (21), Ponderosa (7), hackberry (40), and Tatarian maple (13). There are also some golden currant (10), raspberries (12), red-leafed rose (37), autumn clematis (6), aggressive rose (7), rabbit brush (34), and coyote gourd (13). All trees are drought resistant, but of course will grow faster and fix more carbon with extra water.
