What: Michael Griffin, a botanist with the National Ecological Observation Network (NEON), will discuss his work with NEON. Michael has been collecting data in field sites around Colorado's Front Range and Eastern Plains for NEON for several years. Michael has led several Boulder Chapter field trips and is valued for his knowledge and curiosity.

The U.S National Science Foundation's National Ecological Observatory Network is a continental-scale observation facility operated by Battelle and designed to collect long-term ecological data. NEON monitors ecosystems across the United States. Freshwater ecosystems include streams, rivers, and lakes while terrestrial ecosystems span from deserts to tropical forests. 

This will be a hybrid talk on October 13th from 7pm to 8:30pm and the first talk for the Boulder Chapter's Fall 26 and Winter 27 talk schedule. In person seating is limited to 25.
