Out in Nature: Lavender at White Rocks (LGBTQIA2+)

  • Gunbarrel, Colorado (map)

What: We are taking an expedition to White Rocks, one of the most unique places in Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks! Through a queer ecology lens we will explore lichen, inland seas, rare grasses, local history and of taking care of place through environmental stewardship, community connection, and participation in local government. Please bring sunblock, plenty of water, good hiking shoes, and an extra layer. The hike is not wheelchair friendly, it's rocky, but it's no further than a mile, and about a 50-foot change in elevation.

NOTE: White Rocks hikes are extremely popular but must accommodate small groups. If you have been on a White Rocks hike before, please let others who have not had a turn register first.
