Harlequin's Gardens Class: Growing Your Best Garlic

  • Harlequin's Gardens Boulder, CO (map)

What: “Got your Garlic? Now get the info to grow your best garlic ever!

LeeAnne Sanders owned and operated Lake Hollow Homestead, a small market farm and CSA best known for its garlic and for teaching her the meaning of “character building.” During a three-year hiatus from farming to care for her ailing husband, she wrote Does Garlic Grow On Trees? An Irreverent Guide for Beginning Growers, condensing all her garlic lessons into ridiculously irreverent (but incredibly informative!) shenanigans. These days, she serves as Director of the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, championing family farmers across the Mountain West with the same stubborn optimism once reserved for growing tomatoes at altitude.

This fall, she’s replanting a new batch of garlic and offering tips, tricks, useful tidbits to other growers. Please join her!  For safety’s sake, however, we ask that you leave your vampire friends at home.”

  • When: Saturday, October 25; 10:30am-11:30am.

  • Where: Harlequin’s Gardens, Boulder, CO
