What: The Flatirons Farmer's Coalition invites you to a panel involving folks from the community who have transitioned to being a farm business owner after having worked on a farm or in another industry prior. If you are interested in starting your own farm, this will be a goldmine of knowledge from people who have successfully started and run their own operations.
You'll come away with different perspectives and ideas, and gain a deeper understanding of what you need to consider in order to start their own farm. This workshop will be inspiring and informative.
This workshop will be hosted as a panel with organized questions followed by an audience Q&A and mingling so that attendees can get deeper into specific topics or scenarios that are more personalized.
Some questions that we will address are ask are:
How did you decide the kind of farm you wanted to start?
What partnerships were necessary for your success?
How did you go about accessing land and markets?
What were some of the largest hurdles?
And more!
