BeeChicas: The Fantastical World of Everyday Nature In and Around Us with Susan J. Tweit

  • Boulder Library 1001 Arapahoe Avenue Boulder, CO, 80302 United States (map)

What: Imagine a world where plants talk, insects transform their bodies by rearranging and repurposing their cells, algae act from memory, seed “brains" tell them when to germinate and flowers signal incoming pollinators like airport workers guiding jets. A world where relationships and interrelationships continually co-create life. That’s the real, actual world we live in and belong to, the world we call nature. Join award-winning writer and plant ecologist, Susan J. Tweit, to learn more about the fantastical nature of ordinary life!
