Community Forestry Corps:

Supporting Boulder Youth — Providing Critical Tree Care

What is the Impact and What is Next?

  • NEED DETAILS HERE

The City’s NbS team and its partners, the Tree Trust/Play Foundation and Boulder County Youth Corps, successfully ran its second season of the Community Forestry Corps.  Working closely with Boulder County, the city was able to double the size of the crew–from 10 members in 2024 to 20 members in 2025.  The initiative planted and watered hundreds of trees, provided critical tree care (mulching, tree wrapping) to hundreds more, and developed a new fire hydrant-based tree watering system that significantly improved the ability to water newly established trees.
